We're starting two book clubs at Offbeat. One for fiction and one for nonfiction. Both clubs will meet separately, once a month, right here at Offbeat. It's a chance to read some good books, drink some good coffee, and maybe make a few new friends along the way. Making friends as an adult is weirdly difficult. We're trying to make it a little less weird. We're accepting the first 15 people for each club. Once those spots are filled, everyone else goes on a waiting list. Sorry. Books have consequences.

At the first meeting, you'll get to know your fellow book nerds, choose your first book as a group, figure out a monthly meeting schedule, and elect a book club leader. We'll email everyone who gets a spot with the details for that first meeting. No reading required beforehand. Just show up.

And there are perks. Every book club member gets 20% off their drinks for the entire season. Get elected book club leader? Your drinks are free for the season. That's right. A little responsibility and a lot of free coffee. What a time to be alive.

All you need to do is pick your club, enter your name and email, and we'll take it from there. You can join fiction OR nonfiction, but not both. Relax, Hemingway. It's getting cold and dark outside, so we figured we'd give everyone a reason to get out of the house, read something interesting, and hang out with people who might become actual friends.
